Some time ago I’ve found a list of CPC per country for Facebook ads, it was very interesting to see what the average is for different countries and compare them in one place. It helped me to do some projections on costs faster for several countries but it also gave me a chance to analyze the costs compared to countries I didn’t consider till then. Several days ago I’ve tried to find it again, maybe I’ve lost the URL somewhere in my bookmarks but I can’t even find it by searching on Google for it.
So, I thought to publish a recent list of Facebook Advertising CPC per country because it might help a lot of advertisers have an overview of the current status. If you want more insights on how to set-up Facebook ads and what the best practices are, check this article out Facebook Ads: Understand, Set Up, Recycle .
Compared to the last Facebook Advertising CPC per country list like this, I’ve seen there are some changes. For example the United States are no longer the most expensive country to target for you Facebook Ads and it has been replaced by Japan. Some big differences can be seen on the second place of the most expensive CPC prices, American Samoa has an average of $1.21 CPC which is strange compared to CPM.
The CPC/CPM Ads prices are not necessarily mirroring the country’s wealth, because we see countries like Germany having a CPC price of 0.50$ and Russia with 1.02$. I think the prices are based on the number of advertisers in those countries and their willingness to pay more, at least this is also what Facebook says about calculating the AVG CPC/CPM.
In some cases we see that the prices for CPC are bigger than CPM. That doesn’t necessarily mean to go with CPM, it means you should do a test and see what the CTR on the CPM ad is and see if you can get better results with the same money and CPC.
And below is the latest list with the Facebook Advertising CPM/CPC costs per country.

Hi,,
i need your help to explain this.
I run cpm campaign, it shows 72000 impression, cost per 1000 is 0.02. so, I need pay less than $2 right?
but why I pay more than $5. They give higher rate for 1 click.
Depends on what you have set-up, meaning for what you want to be charged: CPM or CPC? If it’s CPC you will have less impressions but more clicks…they optimize it that way.
SOURCE??!?
There are several sources which I used at that time, including testing myself. But at the end, you need to see for yourself as this should only be seen as a guideline.

Hi! Is this rates for mobile or for website? thanks!
This list is pretty old, it was a general list for Desktop and Mobile. But I still think that those prices can be used as a guide.
Thanks For this great content, I’ve been trying to find cpc for messenger and link clicks for some European countries to Target and testing seems expensive. The list came at the right time. I’m showing my appreciation.
Romania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Cyprus, and a few other European countries should be your first campaign target. Next you can target bigger nations such as germany, france, and others. Nice information share. Thanks a lot

Hi there,
I am into social media marketing for a very long time. The prices here are okay but I am a part of a digital agency and we provide facebook page likes through fb advertising for a very less price. We even target niche for pages. Prices are 50% lower than what is stated here. But there are different ways you can actually spend on digital media buying. Its about how effectively and efficiently you run the campaigns. I invite you all to our website to have a look at our service if you guys have a min or two to spare.
Thanks
These numbers seem incorrect to myself and vary drastically to what I’ve seen elsewhere (at least for 2018 data), taking Japan as an example – this would mean you’re only getting a 0.029% CTR. UK, 0.024% etc?
Nice post but I have tried India Facebook ads for 0.4 per click
